Public event for Butte County residents
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Butte County will hold its annual membership meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on January 17 at 109 Parmac, Ste. 1, in Chico.
All NAMI members are “invited and encouraged to attend,” said Colleen Phipps, NAMI Butte County president. Discussions at the meeting on various reports and issues “will help NAMI’s leadership team shape future priorities and actions.”
Among items on the Jan. 17 agenda are:
*** Proposals to partner with Lassen County and for Plumas, Tehama, Glenn and Colusa counties to “shadow” Butte County’s NAMI affiliate.
*** A discussion of better ways for recruiting, engaging and retaining volunteers for NAMI’s signature programs.
*** A discussion of a spring fund-raising event titled “Paint Away the Stigma.”
