Educational Programs

  • Family to Family
    This program is a 12-week course for families of individuals with serious brain disorders (mental illnesses). Trained family members teach the course. All course materials are furnished at no cost to you.
  • Peer-To-Peer
    This program is a 9-week course for individuals with mental illnesses. Trained peers teach the course. All course materials are furnished at no cost to you.
  • NAMI Basics
    This program is a 6-week course for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. A trained teacher who is also the parent/caregiver of individuals who developed the symptoms of mental illness in childhood teach the course. All course materials are furnished at no cost to you.
  • Provider Education Program
    This program is a 5-week course for line staff at public agencies who work directly with people living with mental illness. The teaching team consists of 5 members: 2 family members, 2 consumers and a mental health professional who is also a family member.

Support Groups

  • Family Support Group
    The Family Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 109 Parmac, Suite 1, in Chico, CA (Butte County’s Behavioral Health) for 90 minutes, from 6:30 to 8pm. The Family Support Group is run by a Family to Family Mentor and trained support group facilitator.
